The political scene in Bihar is heating up around the special revision and verification of the voter list. Opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav raised doubts and pointed out the confusion caused by changing guidelines. Now, Asaduddin Owaisi has approached the Election Commission on this matter.

Asaduddin Owaisi, the head of All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM), visited the Election Commission office in New Delhi on Monday to address this issue. Owaisi criticized the Election Commission for making a hurried decision and stated that if 15-20% of people are excluded from the voter list, they may lose their citizenship.

He mentioned that they are not against revision but emphasized the need for adequate time. Owaisi further added that removing someone’s name from the voter list not only disenfranchises them but affects their livelihood. He urged the Election Commission to explain how they intend to complete such a process in a short period.

Owaisi criticized the BJP and RSS over the narrative of intrusion and Bangladeshis. He accused them of spreading falsehoods about illegal immigration from Bangladesh. He questioned how those allowed entry by India after the 1971 war are being labeled as intruders now.
