The AI Impact Summit 2026 is set to commence this Monday in India. It is recognized as the first and largest AI Summit of the Global South.
This summit provides a global platform to shape the future of inclusive, responsible, and empowered AI. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Bharat AI Impact Expo 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi on February 16, 2026, at 5 PM.
Over 300 Exhibitions to Participate
The AI Impact Expo 2026 will showcase more than 300 curated exhibition pavilions and live demonstrations. These will be categorized based on three themes: People, Planet, and Progress.
More than 600 high-powered startups and pavilions from 13 countries will participate in the Expo to display international collaboration in the AI ecosystem.

Day One to Focus on Road Safety
The summit at Bharat Mandap will begin on February 16, focusing on AI for road safety in India.
The initial session on the first day will explore how AI can significantly improve road safety measures in India. It will feature experts from the Ministry of Transport, IITs, and various sectors.
The emphasis will be on data-driven approaches for understanding accident patterns, predicting risks, and enabling proactive interventions.
There will also be discussions on scalable AI applications supporting safe mobility, driver training, data-driven hyperlocal models, and technology-based impact for the public good.
Exploring AI Utilization Today
Leadership discussions will also take place on the first day, considering the use of AI for the future of learning and work. This session will analyze how AI is transforming the global employment landscape.

The session will also cover how AI can support informed decision-making through predictive analytics, automate case management, assist with legal research, and support virtual courts, improving case resolution speed, reducing case backlog, and enhancing access to justice.
Exploring Employment in the Era of AI
The future of employment in the age of AI is another significant topic on the first day. Experts will showcase how AI will create new job opportunities while some existing ones may be replaced, necessitating widespread skill upgrading.
AI for Smart and Empowered Agriculture
A special session titled 'From Research to Solutions' will investigate how AI supports sustainable, efficient, and climate-responsive agriculture by bringing diverse perspectives together.
The summit stems from thorough preparation, including a five-stage public consultation process and global outreach sessions conducted in cities such as Paris, Berlin, Oslo, New York, Geneva, Bangkok, and Tokyo.
