After the shocking stabbing of a 10th-grade student in an Ahmedabad school, the intrigue surrounding the case continues to swell. In a startling revelation, it appears the accused openly confessed to a friend via chat, unfolding the grim story himself. The friend, taken aback by the confession, rebuked him at once.

Joint Police Commissioner Jaipal Singh Rathore informed that on Tuesday, a 10th-grade student at Ahmedabad's Seventh Day School was attacked by a classmate with a knife. The critically injured student succumbed to his injuries during treatment at night. The minor accused has been taken into custody, with a case registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, launching an ongoing investigation.

On Wednesday morning, the enraged relatives of the victim and local communities stormed into the school campus, causing chaotic scenes by vandalizing school buses and other vehicles. School staff also faced the wrath of the furious crowd. It required considerable effort from the police to regain control. The angry mob staged a sit-in protest, blocking traffic, and chanted slogans against the police and school administration.

The victim's family alleges that the accused student was aided by several others, while the school administration allegedly attempted to destroy evidence. Joint Police Commissioner Sharad Singhal confirmed that the Crime Branch will now conduct the investigation. The forensic team is set to verify claims about a water tanker summoned to wash away the crime scene. Involvement by others, if found during investigation, will result in arrests.

This incident has taken a communal turn, as the accused belongs to a minority community, while the victim was from the Sindhi community. The victim's family stressed the need for stringent action to prevent recurrence of such incidents in the future. Amidst escalating tensions, local MLA Amul Bhatt appealed to the crowd for calm, hands folded. State Education Minister Praful Panseria termed the murder unfortunate.
