The Shiv Sena (UBT) has launched its BMC election campaign. Addressing a gathering in Mumbai, Aditya Thackeray fiercely criticized the BJP and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, labeling Shinde as 'Bhrashtnath'. He stated that the fight is for safeguarding Mumbai.
Aditya emphasized that anyone attempting to overtake Mumbai would be faced and defeated. He urged the public to stand with Shiv Sena in this struggle.
'This fight is to save Mumbai'
Aditya Thackeray lashed out at BJP regarding the Dharavi redevelopment plan, stating, 'This battle is to save Mumbai. If anyone tries to take over Mumbai, we will fight and emerge victorious. Join us in this ongoing battle to save the city.'
Aditya remarked, 'BJP has awarded the Dharavi contract for their master's benefit. What will they say in front of their master? If told to rise, they will rise. The Chief Minister might provide space to Adani, but won't give an inch of land to Mumbai's people.'
'Had They Spent on Local Trains, Lives Wouldn't Be Lost'
He criticized, 'BJP increased property tax and raised BEST fares.' Aditya also targeted the bullet train project, claiming, 'The bullet train offers no benefit to Mumbai's citizens. Why is it only being built from Mumbai to Ahmedabad? The expenditure on the bullet train could instead save lives if spent on local trains.'
