On the eve of the Delhi assembly election results, the political temperature in the capital soared. Arvind Kejriwal, along with AAP leaders, accused political opponents of horse trading, asserting that legislators were offered 150 million rupees and pressured to abandon the Aam Aadmi Party. In response, LG VK Saxena mandated an investigation into these claims. An Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) squad visited Kejriwal's residence, presenting a notice filled with five pointed questions.
1.
On February 6, Arvind Kejriwal claimed in an ex post that AAP legislators were offered 150 million rupees to quit the party. The ACB's primary query was whether this post was indeed authored by Kejriwal.
2.
The ACB is seeking details of the 16 legislators who received allegedly fraudulent phone offers.
3.
Kejriwal is requested to provide information about the person who allegedly made bribery-related calls to AAP legislators.

4.
The ACB also asked Kejriwal to furnish proof supporting the bribery allegations made by him and his party on various media platforms.
5.
The notice further inquires why no legal action should be taken against those spreading such information on media platforms, causing panic among Delhi residents.
Was the ACB Team at Kejriwal's Residence to Record His Statement?
The Delhi Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) team arrived at Kejriwal's home following LG VK Saxena's investigation directive. They stayed outside for quite a while but were reportedly denied entry. A significant turnout of AAP supporters gathered outside, chanting slogans. Despite the turmoil, ACB delivered the notice and left. The team intended to record Kejriwal's statement on the claim, but it remained unrecorded.
Legal Team of AAP's Stance!
The head of AAP's legal team, Sanjeev Nassiyar, explained that the ACB left after handing over the notice. Prior, he alleged ACB's arrival without prior notice to record a statement. While Kejriwal is ready to present evidence supporting his 150 million claims, Nassiyar urged ACB to adhere to proper procedure and issue notices before demanding statements.
Sanjay Singh Lodges Complaint with ACB, Demands Action
AAP MP Sanjay Singh filed a complaint with the ACB. In a media interaction, he declared the BJP as the country's most corrupt party, breaking other parties to gain power in states like Maharashtra and Karnataka. He insisted that no certificate is needed from them for integrity. A complaint has been lodged, with a request for an investigation. He also provided the contact number used to reach AAP leader Mukesh Kumar Ahlawat.
The Furor Over Kejriwal's Allegation!
The former Delhi Chief Minister, on February 6, expressed on an ex post, “Surveys indicate more than 55 seats for the ‘Abuse Party.’ Within the last two hours, our 16 candidates received calls offering ministerial positions and 150 million each to switch sides.”
Kejriwal mused, “If their party indeed predicts over 55 seats, why the need for these calls? Clearly, these fake surveys are aimed at creating chaos. But to those spreading discord, none of our members will falter.”
