An audio clip surfaced, purportedly capturing conversations about extortion with a gangster. The police noted that the AAP MLA had been uncooperative during the inquiry, prompting his arrest. Shortly after his arrest, the BJP spotlighted the legislator in a viral audio with the gangster, seizing the moment to criticize.

There are allegations suggesting a link between MLA Naresh Balyan and gangster Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu. The BJP has gone a step further by releasing an audio clip, claiming it captures the MLA in discussions about extortion with the gangster, reportedly dated a year ago. Both BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia and media cell chief Amit Malviya have tweeted about this development. This raises the pivotal question: who exactly is this gangster Kapil Sangwan, famously known as Nandu?

Gangster Residing in London

Kapil Sangwan, a notorious gangster from Delhi, is currently residing in London. Known for his coercive tactics, he extorts individuals, especially targeting businessmen in Delhi-NCR, and resorts to murder if his demands are unmet. In 2023, he was responsible for orchestrating the assassination of BJP leader Surendra Matiala in Delhi's Uttam Nagar. The same year, he also organized the murder of Nafe Singh, a party president in Haryana. Originating from Najafgarh, Sangwan has over 20 cases against him and has been in Britain for roughly 5 years. Prior to this, he was incarcerated in a Delhi jail. Nandu is known for his rivalry with Delhi gangsters Neeraj Bawania and Manjit Mahal.

Will AAP Expel Naresh Balyan?

Following Balyan's detainment, BJP's Gaurav Bhatia held a press conference accusing AAP MLA of engaging in criminal activities allegedly sanctioned by Arvind Kejriwal. He raised a critical question about whether the MLA would face expulsion from the party. Bhatia referred to an audio clip allegedly featuring Balyan discussing intimidatory tactics to extort money from a builder, insinuating that this incident reflects the modus operandi of AAP and its leadership.
