AAP Releases First List for Delhi Polls: 6 Candidates from Congress-BJP

AAP has announced its initial list of candidates for the Delhi elections, featuring leaders who have joined from Congress or BJP, including Sumesh Shokeen and Brahm Singh Tanwar.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has rolled out the first list of 11 candidates for the upcoming Delhi elections. Among these, six candidates have recently transitioned from Congress or BJP to AAP.

Notably, these six leaders were personally welcomed into the party by Arvind Kejriwal. Out of these, two have previously served as BJP legislators.

Brahm Singh Tanwar will contest from Chhatarpur.

Former senior BJP leader and three-time legislator Brahm Singh Tanwar joined AAP on October 31, in the presence of AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, on the auspicious occasion of Diwali.

Anil Jha is AAP's candidate from Kirari.

Anil Jha, a prominent figure and two-time MLA from Kirari under BJP, joined AAP on November 17. Arvind Kejriwal warmly welcomed him as a significant leader from Purvanchal.

Deepak Singhla will contest from Vishwas Nagar.

Sarita Singh is AAP's candidate for Rohtas Nagar.

BB Tyagi will run from Laxmi Nagar for AAP.

On November 4, BJP faced a significant setback when BB Tyagi, who had twice served as a councilor, joined AAP in the presence of Manish Sisodia.

Ram Singh (Leader Ji) will be AAP's candidate from Badarpur.

Zubair Chaudhary is AAP's contender for Seelampur.

AAP has extended tickets not only to former BJP members but also to leaders from Congress. Zubair Chaudhary Ahmed, son of five-time Congress MLA Mateen Ahmed and husband of Congress councilor Shagufta Chaudhary, joined AAP on October 29.

Veer Singh Dhingan will run from Seemapuri.

Former Congress leader Veer Singh Dhingan, who was a three-time MLA from Seemapuri, joined AAP on November 15. He contested the 2020 assembly elections on a Congress ticket.

Gaurav Sharma will contest from Ghonda.

10.

Manoj Tyagi is AAP's candidate for Karawal Nagar.

11.

Sumesh Shokeen will contest from Matiala for AAP.

Just before the Delhi elections, former Congress MLA from Matiala, Sumesh Shokeen, switched allegiance to AAP on November 18.
