A heart-wrenching incident occurred on the night of August 29 at Delhi's Kalkaji temple. A fight over offerings within the temple premises resulted in the brutal beating and murder of volunteer Yogendra Singh. This issue has seen the Aam Aadmi Party consistently targeting the BJP government. Following Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of AAP, former Chief Minister Atishi and AAP legislator Anil Jha have sharply criticized the law and order situation under Rekha Gupta's administration.

What Did Atishi Say?

By posting a video on social media platform X, Delhi's former Chief Minister Atishi stated, 'The law and order situation in Delhi has become a matter of concern. On Friday night at Kalkaji temple, some individuals attacked a volunteer with sticks and rods, leading to a murder. This incident raises questions about rising crimes in Delhi and the safety of its citizens.'

She remarked that it is not an isolated case. Just a few days ago, a triple murder occurred in Maidan Garhi. Additionally, during a parking dispute in Nizamuddin, a person was stabbed to death. In IP Extension, an individual attempting to prevent a robbery was killed. These recurring incidents in Delhi indicate that criminals no longer fear police action, and people's trust in security agencies is wavering.

Anil Jha's media caption demanded the resignation of CM Rekha Gupta and claimed that the four-engine BJP government in Delhi has failed.

What Did AAP MLA Anil Jha Say?

During a press conference on Saturday, AAP legislator Anil Jha stated, 'Even with a four-engine BJP government in Delhi, a priest at Kalkaji temple was ruthlessly beaten to death. This isn't just a murder, but an attack on our faith as well. This occurred due to the incompetency of the BJP government and Delhi Police. The BJP has utterly failed in managing law and order.'

He added, while BJP spreads religious frenzy across the country, it couldn't safeguard the lives of priests protecting religion in Delhi. The law and order situation in Delhi is in shambles, and criminals are emboldened.

Anil Jha highlighted that in Delhi, the MCD, Cantonment Board, NDMC, DDA, and LG are all under BJP control. Yet, the law and order situation in the national capital remains dilapidated. The intelligence of the BJP government also appears to have failed.
