There are three noteworthy names in this list that have been the subject of discussion regarding their ticket allocation. The first is educationist Awadhi Ojha. Speculations were rife about whether or not he would contest elections, and it's now confirmed that he will run from Patparganj, a seat Manish Sisodia has held for the past three terms. In the last election, Sisodia narrowly clinched victory, sparking much debate about his political fate.
The second significant name is Pravesh Ratan, who is from the Jatav community. He joined AAP from BJP, having previously contested from the Patel Nagar (Reserved) seat on a BJP ticket, where he was defeated by AAP's Rajkumar Anand. Interestingly, Rajkumar Anand has now switched allegiances to BJP.
The third prominent name is Jitendra Singh Shanti, who gained attention during the COVID-19 pandemic. He contested from Shahdara on a BJP ticket in the last election, losing to AAP's Ramnivas Goyal. This time, Goyal has announced retirement from election politics.
Earlier, the Aam Aadmi Party announced its first list of 11 candidates, which included six members who recently transitioned from Congress and BJP to AAP.
