Nowadays, smartphone exchange programs are quite trendy. Many people trade in their old phones when buying a new one, lowering the overall ownership cost. However, the experience can occasionally be marred by the actions of the delivery agent. A video highlighting such an incident is going viral on social media.
This video claims that a Flipkart delivery boy demanded 500 Rupees from the customer during a mobile exchange. The customer, agitated by this demand, asked the agent to return the phone.
A user named Ayush Dixit posted this video on X (formerly Twitter). In response to this incident, the user also emailed Flipkart's team, detailing the entire episode. He reported an unpleasant experience during the phone exchange.
The victim alleges that the agent visited his home for the phone exchange. During the visit, the agent demanded 500 Rupees in cash or via Paytm, threatening to damage the phone otherwise. Furthermore, Ayush claims that the agent intentionally dented the phone and misbehaved with his father.
Flipkart has yet to respond directly to the victim. However, the team has auto-generated a reply to the victim's tweet. The viral video clearly captures the heated exchange between the customer and the delivery agent.
While purchasing a smartphone online, you are often given the option to trade in your old phone. These exchanges often yield good value for old smartphones, especially during sales with additional exchange bonuses.
Customers can make significant savings with such offers. However, if the exchanged phone has dents or scratches, it can reduce the trade-in value drastically compared to the online quoted price, entirely depending on the phone's condition.
