Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, the head priest of Bageshwar Dham, has made a significant announcement regarding the upcoming Hanumant Katha. It has been reported that the three-day Katha, initially planned for October 10, 11, and 12 in Kolkata, has been postponed. Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri mentioned that they will not hold the Katha in West Bengal as long as 'Didi' is in power. This declaration has sparked discussions on social media and within religious circles.

In reality, the venue in Kolkata became unusable due to heavy rainfall and flooding, making it impossible to hold the event. Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri explained that the location where they received permission is now inundated with water, and they haven't received authorization for any other site yet. He made it clear that organizing the Katha in West Bengal is not feasible at the moment.

He further said, 'You might have understood, I won't name names, but as long as Didi is there, the Katha will not happen in West Bengal. When Dada comes, we will go there to perform the Katha.' This statement has created excitement and stirred conversations among his religious followers.

What did Dhirendra Krishna Shastri say?

According to Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, in Bageshwar Dham, they will only hold the Katha while observing religious traditions and customs. He also mentioned that if the circumstances become favorable and they gain administrative permission, they will certainly organize the Katha.

Meanwhile, devotees in Kolkata and surrounding areas are eager about his statement and the forthcoming program. Even though there's a hint of disappointment due to the postponement, his followers respect Pandit Ji's decision.

Bageshwar Maharaj's decision is considered a result of religious and administrative circumstances. In the coming week, it remains to be seen when he will arrive at the venue and when the program will take place.
