A viral video posted by Congress MP Manickam Tagore from the Virudhunagar Lok Sabha constituency in Tamil Nadu (Tamilnadu) is making rounds on social media. The video shows a water leakage inside the new Parliament building. Buckets can be seen placed on the floor to catch the dripping water from the roof.

'Paper Leakage Outside, Water Leakage Inside...'

In his social media post, the Congress leader wrote, "Outside paper leakage, inside water leakage. The recent water seepage in the Parliament lobby used by the President highlights weather-related issues in the new building, just one year after its completion. A suspension motion on this issue was presented in the Lok Sabha.

After the video was posted by the Congress leader, social media users began commenting on the incident in various ways.

‘Better Than the New Parliament...’

Samajwadi Party chief and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav commented on social media, saying, "The old Parliament was better than this new one, where the old MPs could also come and meet. Why don't we go back to the old Parliament, at least until the event of water dripping continues in the billion-rupee Parliament."

Akhilesh further said, "People are asking whether every new roof made under the BJP government is designed to leak water or..."

Delhi Becomes a River

Once again, rain has wreaked havoc in Delhi. Starting Wednesday evening, it rained throughout the night, turning areas like Sarita Vihar, Dariyaganj, Pragati Maidan, and ITO into ponds. On Thursday morning, the roads in several parts of Delhi were still waterlogged.

Cars moved at a crawl on the flooded roads since Thursday morning. Due to the worsening situation from the rain, schools in Delhi have been declared closed today. Some colleges will also remain shut during this period.

Due to the late-night rain in Delhi, two people have died. According to the police, 22-year-old Tanuja and her three-year-old son Priyansh went to a weekly market near Khoda Colony in the Ghazipur area. They slipped and fell into a drain. Officials said they were retrieved with the help of divers and cranes and taken to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead. Additionally, three people died after coming into contact with a high-tension wire following heavy rain in Gurugram. The incident occurred late Wednesday night at 10 PM.
