UPSC Aspirant Found Hanging in Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar

A UPSC aspirant in Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar tragically took his own life. His body was discovered hanging in a jungle on September 20. The youth was a resident of Dausa, Rajasthan, and had cleared the prelims exam.

An unfortunate incident occurred in Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar where a UPSC aspirant took his own life. The body of the deceased, found hanging in a jungle on September 20, was identified as being from Dausa, Rajasthan. The aspirant had successfully passed the UPSC prelims examination.

According to information, the deceased was named Deepak and had been missing since September 11. Deepak had cleared the UPSC prelims and was preparing for the mains exam. No suicide note was recovered from the scene. The post-mortem examination was conducted by a medical board.

Deceased Seen Heading Alone to the Jungle

While it is unclear whether Deepak, who had cleared the UPSC prelims exam, committed suicide or if it was a case of murder, police investigations revealed CCTV footage showing Deepak heading alone towards the jungle area.

In a related case, last month a UPSC aspirant named Anjali from Old Rajendra Nagar in Delhi took her own life. Anjali, who hailed from Maharashtra and was preparing for the exams while living in a rented room, wrote a suicide note explaining the immense pressure faced by candidates. She mentioned everyday struggles and financial exploitation faced by students living in PGs and hostels. She pointed out how not every aspirant can afford the coaching required while staying in Delhi.
