An astonishing case has emerged from the Chilhiya police station area of Siddharthnagar district, UP. Here, a husband killed his 32-year-old wife merely because she cooked a soybean dish he disliked. The police have disclosed the case and arrested the victim's husband, Kamaruddin, sending him to jail.
Incident of November 21
The entire incident took place at 8 PM on November 21 in the Chilhiya area. In Boknar village, a 32-year-old woman, Hajra, was murdered by her own husband. He then informed the villagers himself, who subsequently reported it to the police. The police have registered a case against the husband under Section 103(1) and begun their investigation.
Investigations revealed that both the husband and wife lived in a house outside the village and had no enmity with anyone. However, they frequently quarrelled as the wife could not bear children. On the evening of November 21, the husband went to grind flour at the mill. Upon his return, he asked what was cooked for dinner. The wife told him that it was a soybean dish.
After the Murder, Husband Informs Villagers
Upon hearing about the soybean dish, the accused husband became furious, leading to a heated argument and subsequent murder. The accused told the police he disliked soybean dishes and got so angry that he pushed her. She fell, and he picked up a brick and struck her multiple times on the head, rendering her unconscious.
Upon shaking her, he realized she was no longer breathing. He then placed her body on a cot and informed the villagers that someone had murdered his wife. Siddharthnagar ASP Prashant Kumar Prasad stated that the accused husband has been arrested, and further action is underway.
