President Donald Trump of the United States has given his fiercest statement yet regarding Iran. During a TV interview, Trump unequivocally stated that if any harm comes to him, Iran would be 'erased from the map.' This comes after allegations of threats of assassination against Iranian leaders.

Trump also mentioned that he has clearly instructed his security staff that any threat will be met with a very harsh response.

He took a jab at former President Joe Biden, indicating Biden should be more outspoken on the issue. According to Trump, on such sensitive issues, former and current presidents should support one another.

A US intelligence agency briefing during the 2024 presidential campaign informed Trump of potential threats from Iran, possibly in retaliation for the 2020 killing of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani.

The repercussions of the killing of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani continue to echo, with potential threats still looming over the US.

Trump also said that after assuming office, he issued an executive order to exert maximum pressure on Iran, keeping all options on the table.

This statement comes at a time when protests have been ongoing in Iran for the past month, resulting in over five thousand deaths. Trump previously hinted that military action remains a possibility concerning protest-related killings. Meanwhile, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei accused the US of attempting to incite riots in Iran, stating that while Iran does not seek war, “criminals” in the country will not be spared.

Amidst all this, the tension between America and Iran continues to rise, having long-term implications on global politics.
