In the Dhanrua police district of Patna, a 12-year-old boy was tragically murdered, his throat slit by an assailant. The victim's body was then callously discarded in a wheat field, leaving the entire area engulfed in horror. Police have recovered the child’s body and are currently investigating the case.
According to reports, the deceased boy has been identified as Kunal Kumar, a resident of Gosai Math under the Gopalpur police station in Patna. Kumar had been missing since March 6th. His father, Arun Kumar, had filed a missing person report with the police. His body was then found on the evening of March 8th in a wheat field in Dhanrua police region.
The villagers stumbled upon the corpse in the fields and informed the police. Responding officers arrived at the scene to take a closer look. After the body was identified, the police began their detailed investigation and sent the body for autopsy. Both Kunal’s father and the police have stated that the motive behind the murder is yet unclear.
What did the SDPO say about the incident?
Uday Shankar, the SDPO of Masaurhi in Patna, stated that a murder investigation is underway for the 12-year-old victim. The victim’s identity has been confirmed, and forensic teams including a dog squad were brought to the crime scene. The police are determined to apprehend the perpetrator soon. The boy's remains have been forwarded to Nalanda Medical College Hospital in Patna for postmortem examination. His disappearance case had been registered at the Gopalpur police station.
