Prime Minister Narendra Modi will give the green signal to the Namo Bharat train stretching from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Begumpul station in Meerut today. The metro dream of Meerut residents is also set to become a reality. Alongside the Namo Bharat inauguration, PM Modi will also inaugurate the Meerut Metro on February 22nd.
On February 20th, a non-stop trial run of the Namo Bharat train took place from Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut Begumpul. During this, the Meerut Metro was also tested from Meerut Begumpul station to Meerut South station. Operations are slated to commence from February 22nd.
After inaugurating the Namo Bharat train and Meerut Metro services, PM Modi will address a public gathering. According to district administration, he is expected to arrive at Ghaziabad's Hindon Airport at 11 AM. CM Yogi will welcome PM Modi at 11:30 AM as his helicopter descends on the same helipad.
PM Modi and CM Yogi to Travel Together on Metro
At 12:30 PM, PM Modi will launch the Namo Bharat train and Meerut Metro from the Shatabdi Nagar station. Subsequently, PM Modi and CM Yogi will journey via metro to Meerut South station. From there, PM Modi will proceed by road to the public gathering site in Mohiuddinpur, expected to arrive around 1 PM.
PM Modi to Address Public Gathering
Before addressing the gathering, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay foundations for a multitude of development projects. After spending approximately an hour at the event venue, he will head back to Hindon Airport from the Mohiuddinpur helipad around 2:10 PM.

Relief from Traffic Jams for Delhi Residents!
Delhi CM Rekha Gupta expressed her elation over the completion of the Namo Bharat metro station, stating, 'Millions travel daily between Delhi and Meerut; this will greatly benefit them. Thousands of vehicles ply this route daily, and we are delighted that this will ease road traffic. Carbon emissions will decrease significantly, offering a substantial reprieve from pollution.'
Rekha Gupta claimed that Delhi residents now have pollution-free transport. It stands to alleviate traffic congestion and pollution on the city's roads.
Namo Bharat to Run from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South
The Namo Bharat train is set to operate from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South station. The five-kilometer stretch from New Ashok Nagar to Sarai Kale Khan is completed, as is the structure from Meerut South to Modipuram. PM Modi will inaugurate both these sections today.
