During a heated discussion in the Lok Sabha on Monday regarding the Pahalgam terrorist attack and the subsequent 'Operation Sindoor,' Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Ramshankar Rajbhar criticized the central government. He argued that the nation desired 'Operation Tandoor,' a prompt and fiery response, rather than the delayed military action.

Key Questions Raised by the MP

Rajbhar highlighted that the nation was in a state of rage after the Pahalgam attack, and the public demanded a retaliatory strike against the terrorists within three days. However, the government launched an operation 17 days later, contrary to the people's emotions. He questioned, “Were the attackers from the Pahalgam incident among the 100 terrorists killed? That's the real question.”

He further stated that the Pahalgam attack was a conspiracy to incite riots in India, but Hindu-Muslim unity thwarted these plans. He lauded this solidarity as India's true strength, emphasizing that communal harmony fortifies the nation.

Mention of Donald Trump's Statements

In his speech, Rajbhar referenced former U.S. President Donald Trump's statements, noting that Trump publicly claimed around 26 times to have played a role in the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Trump also attributed this to arms sales by the U.S. Rajbhar questioned the government, asking about India's role if Trump’s claims were accurate. In a sarcastic tone, he remarked, “The true world leader was seated in the White House,” alluding to the frequent use of the term “Vishwaguru” for India by the Prime Minister.

During Rajbhar’s sharp critique, some unrest was observed in the house, but he justified his remarks by stating that he was voicing the sentiments of the people. He urged the government to take national security and public outrage seriously.
