The national capital, Delhi, is on high alert following intelligence reports of a potential terrorist attack plot. The Pakistani-based terrorist organization, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), is plotting a significant attack using an Improvised Explosive Device (IED). Crowded areas and religious sites are suspected to be the primary targets.
According to intelligence reports, Lashkar-e-Taiba is formulating a plan to detonate IEDs in major Indian cities. It is also suggested that the terrorists have planned explosions in temples in Delhi's Chandni Chowk area.
According to the report, a bomb exploded in a mosque in Islamabad, Pakistan, on February 6, 2026, and since then, Lashkar has been scheming this plot.
