On a terrifying Sunday night, lawlessness struck again in Patna's Bakarganj area. Avdhesh Agrawal, a wholesaler of silver and sweets, was brutally murdered inside his own home by an unidentified shooter. The chilling event sent shockwaves across the neighborhood, leaving residents in a state of fear. Upon receiving the distressing news, the police swiftly arrived to take control, securing the body and commencing a thorough post-mortem investigation.

According to the police report, Avdhesh had closed his shop and returned home on Sunday night. It was during this period that a stranger forced entry into his home and unleashed a barrage of bullets upon him, leading to his instant death. Originally from Agra, Avdhesh had been living in a rented accommodation in Patna. As soon as the incident was reported, law enforcement from Pirbahor and Kadamkuan police stations were quick to respond and transported the body for autopsy.

Sweets Businessman Shot Dead

Mohammad Halil, the officer in charge of Pirbahor station, disclosed that the police received the call at around 11:30 PM, reporting that a man had been shot dead in his home. A legal case has been filed, and the investigation is underway. Forensic teams have already inspected the scene and gathered crucial evidence.

Police Initiate Thorough Investigation

Patna's Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) revealed that Avdhesh Agrawal had served time in prison for a previous murder case and had relocated to Patna from Agra to pursue his business ventures. The police are delving into the intricacies of the case, meticulously examining the CCTV footage from the vicinity to identify the culprit. Authorities are confident that the perpetrators involved in this brazen act will soon be apprehended.
