Statistics Reveal Middle East Dangers

As of April 2025, data shows 91 violent attacks on Indian students abroad over the past five years, causing 30 fatalities. Canada reports the highest numbers, with 16 Indians killed, followed by Russia and the United Kingdom. In March 2025, the MEA informed the Rajya Sabha that in 2022, there were 4 attacks, in 2023, 28, and in 2024, 40 recorded attacks on Indian students. It's not just students; Indians from all professions, be it white-collar or laborers, are being targeted. The attacks on Indians rose from 29 in 2021 to 57 in 2022, and to 86 in 2023.
