Rajasthan: Man Shot in Home While Sleeping, Dies During Treatment

In Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, criminals recklessly fired at a man sleeping in his home before fleeing the scene. The sound of gunshots drew a significant number of people from the surrounding area to the spot, and the injured man was taken to the hospital for treatment. Due to the critical nature of his injuries, he was referred first to Alwar, and then to Jaipur. Tragically, the man succumbed to his injuries during treatment, leading to a tense atmosphere in the village.

According to reports, Arshad, a resident of Mirchuni village in Tapukara, was sleeping when 4 to 5 armed criminals arrived and started firing indiscriminately. Arshad was hit in the head and hand by bullets, causing a loud and alarming noise that shook the entire area. A crowd soon gathered, and the assailants fled the scene.

Transferred from Alwar to Jaipur

Witnesses quickly took Arshad to the government hospital in Tapukara for immediate treatment. However, due to the severe condition of his injuries, he was referred to Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital in Alwar, and then to Jaipur. Doctors noted that a bullet was lodged in Arshad’s head, making his condition critical.

Allegations of Police Inaction

Arshad passed away during treatment in Jaipur on Friday morning. After the postmortem, the police handed over his body to the family. As the news of his death spread in the village, tension rose significantly, prompting police deployment. Arshad’s friend Sabir revealed that Arshad had ongoing disputes with some youths. They had reported the issue to the local police several times, but no action was taken, which they believe led to this tragic event.

Statement from DSP

DSP Shivraj Singh of Tijara stated that the local police visited the scene and conducted a thorough examination. They recorded statements from nearby residents and assured that further investigation and actions would follow. The DSP emphasized that the criminals involved would be apprehended soon.
