In Ajmer, Rajasthan, police in Bandarsindri seized a staggering 20 million rupees in cash from a car during a blockade. The vehicle, en route from Kishangarh to Jaipur, was halted on suspicion of carrying weapons. As officers investigated, they discovered this large sum of Indian currency. The cash was immediately seized as further legal procedures commenced.
Sources reveal that Bandarsindri police received a tip-off regarding a vehicle traveling from Kishangarh possibly carrying weapons. Acting on this intelligence, Police Inspector Virendra Singh set up a crucial blockade at the intersection, halting all vehicles headed toward Jaipur. A white Creta SUV was spotted driving from Kishangarh, triggering the officers to stop it for inspection.
Upon search, officers uncovered a significant amount of cash. However, Kishangarh residents Avinash Jain and Ankit Jain, occupants of the car, failed to offer a satisfactory explanation concerning the money. Consequently, authorities detained both individuals for further questioning.
The complexity of counting the cash necessitated the use of a money counting machine, posing an additional challenge for Bandarsindri police. Inspector Virendra Singh reported securing a machine from a local e-Mitra to count the money, which totaled an impressive 20.7 million rupees. Speculations arise about the money being linked to hawala transactions, though the police refrained from making any definitive statements regarding this theory.
Inspector Virendra Singh stated that the notification of potential weapons in a car from Kishangarh set the police on high alert, prompting the blockade and subsequent uncovering of such substantial cash. Currently, both young men remain in custody as the investigation proceeds.
