The case of the missing newlywed couple from Indore, Raja Raghuvanshi and Sonam Raghuvanshi, who went for a honeymoon in Meghalaya has grown more serious. After an 11-day search, the Meghalaya Police and NDRF team found Raja Raghuvanshi's body in a deep gorge in the East Khasi Hills district of Sohra (Cherrapunji). Police have confirmed that Raja was murdered, identified by the 'Raja' tattoo on his right hand. However, there is still no trace of his wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi. Meanwhile, the audio of Raja's last conversation with his mother has surfaced, making the entire incident even more poignant.
In the audio, Raja's mother asks, "What are you doing? Are you still up or have you come down from the hills?" Raja replies, "Just arrived." When his mother inquires about their meal, Raja says, "We are eating fruits now, will move out from here soon."
The mother shares that she was cooking and missing her children. When she asks why they went up, Raja responds, "We went to see the waterfall."
On being complained by his mother about not sending videos, Raja explains, "The internet isn't working, so we're unable to send videos." Finally, when his mother asks how many days are left, Raja replies, "Two more days."

This conversation is believed to have occurred just before Raja's disappearance. Raja and Sonam, married on May 11, went to Meghalaya on May 20. They disappeared on May 23 after visiting the 'Living Root Bridge' in Nongriat village, Sohra.
The police have registered a murder case and formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) with drones and special teams engaged in the search for Sonam. The incident has caused a wave of grief in Indore, and the family demands a CBI investigation.
