Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in India. Around 6:45 PM this evening, his plane landed at Palam Airport. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was already present at the airport to welcome Putin. As Putin descended from the plane, both leaders embraced warmly, greeting each other with enthusiasm. Following their greeting, PM Modi and President Putin departed together in a shared vehicle.
In August, PM Narendra Modi and Vladimir Putin had another car ride together during the SCO summit in China. Today, they once again embarked in the same vehicle. Meanwhile, news emerged that the Russian Presidential office, the Kremlin, was unaware of PM Modi's decision to meet Putin at the airport. The Kremlin did not have this information. After receiving Putin, PM Modi departed with him in a white Toyota Fortuner (registration number MH01EN5795).
The Toyota SUV is renowned for its powerful performance. The Fortuner used by the world leaders is a diesel Sigma variant, with an estimated starting price of around 3.811 million INR (ex-showroom) in the Indian market.
