Bulletproof Toyota Fortuner:
The renowned Japanese automaker Toyota is celebrated globally for its exceptional vehicle quality and unmatched driving experience. Now, Toyota is taking it a step further by introducing some of its models as armored vehicles. In Brazil, Toyota has launched factory-fitted bulletproof versions of its well-known cars. Customers can now receive these bulletproof vehicles directly from the dealership.
Usually, people buy their favorite cars and then get them modified to be bulletproof by third parties. However, in Brazil, these cars will be sold directly from the dealership. Toyota's armored portfolio includes models like the Corolla Sedan, Corolla Cross SUV, Hilux Pickup, and SW4 (known as the Fortuner in the Indian market).
Toyota Brazil has partnered with local armoring experts like Avalon, Carbon, Evolution Blindages, and Parvi Blindados to make this option available for both new and old models. Interested customers can contact their local Toyota dealership to send their vehicle to the armoring company of their choice before delivery. Once the preferred armoring company is selected and the vehicle is booked, a delivery date will be given, after which customers can take their armored car home.

What Will These Armored Cars Be Like:
These armoring companies use special components to enhance the vehicles. They reinforce the bodywork while installing thick windows. These window glasses are tough enough to withstand attacks from various weapons. According to the company's official website, these vehicles will be equipped with a Level III armor system. This system can withstand bullets from pistols, rifles, revolvers, and even machine guns. These armoring companies offer a warranty of 5 to 10 years on special components and shield installations.
Waiting for Delivery:
The company states that it will take approximately 30 days for customers to get their car bulletproofed. The customization process takes some time, plus the vehicles need to undergo thorough checks to ensure there are no issues once they hit the road. However, the exact time may vary depending on the model.
Toyota mentions that during this modification, there will be no changes made to the engine mechanism. Although there might be a slight impact on the vehicle's performance due to the use of heavy steel and window installations, these cars are fully capable of safeguarding your family. There is no information yet on whether this service will be introduced in India or not.
