In a chilling event that has shaken the Gandhi Maidan area of Patna, Bihar, businessman Gopal Khemka was shot dead at 11 PM on July 4th. The news of this assassination has quickly spread fear throughout the community. Police arrived promptly and have sent the body for post-mortem while launching an investigation to apprehend the suspects. Khemka was well-known as a prominent businessman in Patna, owning the Magadh Hospital. Tragedy struck the family 6 years ago when Gopal Khemka's son, Gunjan Khemka, was also murdered in the Vaishali industrial area, causing an uproar back then. Now, crime seems to once again rear its ugly head in Patna.
Shot Immediately After Exiting Car
It has been reported that Gopal Khemka was shot the moment he got out of his car near an apartment by the Panas Hotel, leading to his immediate death at the scene. Gandhi Maidan police have confirmed the fatal shooting of businessman Gopal Khemka.
Witnesses recount that as soon as Khemka stepped out of his vehicle, gunmen opened fire, leaving him lifeless on the spot. The investigation is actively ongoing, with law enforcement deploying search operations to bring suspects to justice. According to Patna SP Deepshikha, efforts to apprehend the culprits are in full swing, with arrests anticipated shortly.
At around 11 PM on July 4, the grim report of businessman Gopal Khemka's shooting in the southern sector of Gandhi Maidan reached authorities. The crime scene has been secured and forensic scrutiny is underway. Evidence retrieved includes a bullet and an empty shell casing left behind.
