First Change - Expensive LPG Cylinders
According to IOCL's website, commercial gas cylinder prices have increased across cities from Delhi to Mumbai, effective 1st September 2024. In Delhi, a 19 kg LPG cylinder has increased from 1652.50 INR to 1691.50 INR, a rise of 39 INR per cylinder. In Kolkata, it has gone up from 1764.50 INR to 1802.50 INR, in Mumbai from 1605 INR to 1644 INR, and in Chennai from 1817 INR to 1855 INR.
Second Change - Reduced ATF Prices
The second change, effective from the first of September, brings relief to air travelers as air turbine fuel (ATF) prices have been cut. In Delhi, the price decreased from 97,975.72 INR per kiloliter to 93,480.22 INR per kiloliter. In Kolkata, it dropped from 1,00,520.88 INR per kiloliter to 96,298.44 INR per kiloliter, in Mumbai from 91,650.34 INR per kiloliter to 87,432.78 INR, and in Chennai from 1,01,632.08 INR per kiloliter to 97,064.32 INR per kiloliter.
Third Change - Credit Card Rule Updates
If you're an HDFC Bank credit card user, the changes effective from 1st September 2024 are crucial for you. From this date, HDFC Bank has capped reward points on utility transactions. Users can earn up to 2,000 reward points per month on these transactions. Moreover, there won't be any rewards for educational payments made through third-party apps.
Fourth Change - Bank Holidays in September
If you have essential banking tasks in September, check the RBI Bank Holiday list before heading out. Due to several festivals and events, banks will be closed for half of the month. Post this date, certain updates to your Aadhaar card will require a fee. Initially, the free update deadline was 14th June 2024, which has now been extended to 14th September 2024.
