On September 19th (Friday), for the Asia Cup 2025, the Indian team is set to play its final group match against Oman. Held at Sheikh Zayed in Abu Dhabi, Indian captain Suryakumar won the toss and opted to bat first. The Indian team has already secured a place in the Super Four, while Oman is out of contention.

At the toss, there was a mix-up by captain Suryakumar Yadav. When asked about changes in the playing 11, Suryakumar mentioned two changes but couldn't recall the second player's name, although he remembered Harshit Rana. In jest, he compared himself to Rohit Sharma, the ODI team captain. Similarly, Oman's captain Jatinder Singh also struggled to give a clear answer regarding their playing 11.

Suryakumar Yadav commented, 'We're going to bat first. We haven't batted first in this tournament yet, so it's a chance to test our depth. Game time before advancing to the Super 4 is crucial. We aim to maintain the positive aspects from the first two matches. The pitch looks promising, and our openers will assess it. We've made two changes. Harshit Rana is in and there's another one who joined. Looks like I've turned into Rohit Sharma.'

What are the changes for India and Oman?

Both teams have made two changes in their playing 11 for this match. For India, pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah and mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy have been rested. Left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh and right-arm fast bowler Harshit Rana join the playing 11. For Oman, Zikaria Islam and Mohammad Nadeem are set to play.

Oman's captain Jatinder Singh expressed, 'I would have chosen to bat first as well. The experience gained here is invaluable. Our team is young and lacks experience but being here offers a chance to test themselves. Playing against India and understanding their mindset is an excellent opportunity. We've made two changes.'
