Chaos ensued at the Kanpur Police Commissioner's office when an Inspector and his wife engaged in a heated argument. The wife approached the Commissioner, accusing her Inspector husband of having affairs with several women, causing him to neglect her. On the other hand, the Inspector contends that his wife has been involved with multiple men and has filed rape charges against four individuals to date, claiming he was deceived into marriage. Both parties' complaints have prompted the authorities to initiate an investigation. This incident has become a popular topic in departmental discussions.

This case originates from the Gwalatoli police station in Kanpur, where both the Inspector and his wife leveled accusations of illicit relations against each other at the Police Commissioner's office. On Monday, their public squabble became a subject of public curiosity. The wife complained that her husband's relationships with many women caused him to avoid staying with her, and she faced misconduct from police officers when she visited the station.

Meanwhile, the Inspector accused his wife of marrying him deceitfully, alleging she had already filed rape complaints against four men and settled cases for money. According to the Inspector, she habitually traps people with false accusations to extort money.

Unfolding the Case

The Inspector, named Aditya, and his wife, Divyanshi, visited the Police Commissioner's office to lodge their complaints. Divyanshi accused Aditya of extramarital engagements and mishandling her financially, claiming he spends her money recklessly and maintains contact with multiple women, even residing with one of a different faith. According to her, he targets women previously subjected to social exploitation.

While Divyanshi was presenting her grievances to the Joint Police Commissioner, Inspector Aditya arrived at the scene. He expressed concerns about his wife's character and accused her of marrying him under false pretenses while having previous connections, including a marriage to an Inspector named Prem Pushkar, which she later contested legally along with a case against his brother. Additionally, she filed rape charges against a bank manager, Ashish Raj, only to later withdraw for a settlement.

Currently, Inspector Aditya has displayed evidence, including documents related to their traditional Hindu wedding, to media officials, asserting that his wife habitually ensnares people to falsely accuse them of exploitation, later retracting claims for financial gain. Amita Singh, Staff Officer at the Kanpur Commissionerate, confirmed the case has been noticed, and a thorough investigation is underway for appropriate action.
