OpenAI has released a major update, ChatGPT Search. Rather than launching as a standalone product, it has been added as a feature. This means users are now receiving more accurate and refined results. It operates differently from Google Search. The demand for this ChatGPT feature has long been building, and now it’s here.
Currently, this feature is available for ChatGPT Plus and Team users. Upon logging into OpenAI's website, the ChatGPT Search option is visible; after clicking, users find the option to install a Chrome Extension.
Once logged into chatgpt.com, users will see a Search icon next to the attachment in the search bar. If users wish to search for content on the internet, they can click the Search icon to retrieve detailed results.
ChatGPT Search extends beyond the web to mobile apps. However, it is currently available only to ChatGPT Plus and Team users, who can explore its features. In the coming days, free access may become available.
