Accused of over 40 murders and on police's hit list, gangster Sandeep aka Kala Jatheri and 'Lady Don' Anuradha Choudhary are preparing to declare their love through marriage. The wedding, set for March 12th at a banquet hall in Dwarka, Delhi, isn't just an ordinary union; it's caused a headache for law enforcement across three states. The courts have granted only six hours for marital ceremonies, during which Jatheri will be escorted from Tihar Jail under heavy police protection to the wedding venue approximately 12 kilometers away. Once rituals are complete by 4 PM, he must be returned to incarceration.
Law enforcement teams from the participating states have deployed their best officers to ensure the proceedings go smoothly. Specialized units from Delhi Police, including the Special Cell, Crime Branch, SWAT, and Dwarka station officers, are on high alert. Armed with the latest automatic weapons, most of these officers will be in plain suits instead of uniforms, blending in yet vigilantly safeguarding Jatheri throughout the event. Music may fill the air at the wedding mandap, but these officers won't have a moment to relax.
The NIA is also investigating multiple cases involving Jatheri and Lawrence Bishnoi. With the wedding details widely known, adversaries may see it as an opportunity to attack Jatheri. That's why, apart from protecting him, the police are also tasked with preventing any attempts by Jatheri to escape their custody. Consequently, the police have meticulously scouted the wedding location multiple times.
The banquet hall's staff has been thoroughly vetted, with special ID cards issued for identity confirmation. All CCTV cameras, inside and out, have been inspected, with faulty ones slated for immediate repair. Additionally, the police have compiled a comprehensive guest list for both the wedding and the attending fugitives who may attempt to flee from police from different states. Pictures of these fugitives have been distributed among the police force present at the wedding.
Jatheri's bride-to-be, Anuradha Choudhary, hails from Alfasar village in Sikar, Rajasthan. She was once associated with gangster Anandpal Singh, who was later killed in an encounter. Her opponents have since been after her, which drove her to join Lawrence's gang and get close to Jatheri. There are concerns that her adversaries might cause trouble in her village during the wedding, prompting a special police force to keep a watchful eye on the region.
Delhi High Court has authorised a six-hour parole for Jatheri on March 12, and an additional three-hour parole on March 13 for the couple to perform their housewarming ritual. Due to Jatheri's notorious background, the court has ordered the police to deploy their best teams to prevent any escape attempts. This wedding is proving to be more of a security challenge than a celebration for authorities.
