IND vs NZ: Indian Team Announced for T20 Series Against New Zealand, Several Players Dropped

Before the T20 World Cup, New Zealand will engage in a 3-match ODI series followed by a 5-match T20 series with India. The ODI series starts on January 11, while the T20 series kicks off on January 21. It's essential as this is Team India's last chance for T20 World Cup preparations.

The Indian team for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, commencing in February next year, has been announced. The announcement was made in Mumbai on Saturday, led by chief selector Ajit Agarkar. Additionally, the squad for the India vs New Zealand series is declared. The team selected for the World Cup will be seen in action in this series.

Before the T20 World Cup, New Zealand will play a 3-match ODI series and then a 5-match T20 series with India. The ODI series kicks off on January 11, and the T20 series starts on January 21. This T20 series serves as India's last preparation chance for the T20 World Cup. After this series, Team India heads directly to the World Cup.

Complete Schedule for the Series with New Zealand

The first ODI will be played on January 11 in Baroda. The second ODI on January 14 in Rajkot, and the third and final ODI in Indore on January 18.

The T20 series starts with the first match on January 21 in Nagpur, the second T20 in Raipur, the third T20 on January 25 in Guwahati, the fourth T20 on January 28 in Visakhapatnam, and the final T20 on January 31 in Kerala.

Note: The T20 World Cup will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The tournament starts on February 7, with the final match scheduled for March 20. Defending champions India are placed in Group A, with teams USA, Namibia, Netherlands, and Pakistan.
