Amidst a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, Hezbollah experienced a significant blow. One of Hezbollah's top leaders, Sheikh Muhammad Ali Hamadei, has been assassinated.
According to reports from IRNA, Hamadei was shot in front of his house in the Bekaa district of Lebanon. An unknown assailant opened fire on him. The reasons behind the assassination are still unknown. Some reports suggest Israel's involvement, while others cite family disputes as a possible cause.
In addition, the FBI was also searching for Hamadei. He was wanted for the hijacking of a West German plane in 1985.
