Attacks continue for the fifth day between Israel and Hezbollah. The Israeli army is carrying out intense airstrikes on Hezbollah's bases in Lebanon. On Wednesday, the IDF struck over 100 of its bases. More than 10 people have been killed in these attacks, while many people are reported injured. In light of this conflict, the British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, has warned his citizens to leave Lebanon immediately.
A Hezbollah official told the news agency Reuters that due to the pager and walkie-talkie blast in Lebanon, 1500 of its fighters have been badly injured and are unable to fight. Many of these fighters have lost their eyesight, while others have lost limbs. This is considered a major setback for Hezbollah. However, an American report states that the number of fighters in this terrorist organization ranges between 40,000 to 50,000.
The Israeli Defense Force claims that Hezbollah had planned a major attack on Israel. A plot similar to the massacre executed by Hamas on October 7th was devised. This time, Hezbollah fighters were planning to infiltrate northern Israel in the same manner as Hamas did in southern Israel. However, Israel got wind of this conspiracy in time. Subsequently, the Israeli army eliminated the commanders involved.
Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, the IDF spokesperson, said that under this scheme, Hezbollah intended to launch a significant attack on Israel, targeting the people of the Galilee region. Their terrorists would infiltrate, kill our civilians, and kidnap them, replicating what Hamas did on October 7th. The planning for this was comprehensive and conducted through a meeting on Friday. The responsibility for this mission was given to the Radwan Force.
He mentioned that the mastermind behind this plot was Hezbollah commander Ibrahim Akeel. He is the same terrorist who was killed in an Israeli attack on Friday. He was also accused of bombing Beirut, killing 241 U.S. soldiers. Just like Hamas targeted southern Israel's border villages, Hezbollah had its sights set on northern Israeli villages. One of these villages, Misgav Am, is just 250 meters from the Lebanese border, while another, Metula, is 350 meters away.
If Hezbollah terrorists launched a massive attack on the Israeli border, it would take them only minutes to reach these villages. But Israel claims that it detected this imminent danger just meters away and killed the planning commanders with precise bombing in time. Israel stated that it shot down missiles launched by Hezbollah over Tel Aviv. This appears to be the first attack targeting central Israel.
The Israeli army reported that it intercepted a missile fired by Hezbollah at Tel Aviv on Wednesday, which seems to be the biggest attack by the terrorist group within nearly a year of cross-border skirmishes. The IDF said that the surface-to-surface missile, which triggered alerts in Tel Aviv and Netanya, was shot down by the Israeli Air Force. The air raid alarms forced people to run to bomb shelters early in the morning.
Hezbollah also claimed to have targeted Tel Aviv with its ballistic missile. It stated that it had launched the Qadr-110 missile aiming at Mossad headquarters in retaliation for the pager and walkie-talkie blast. However, the Israeli army said it used the David's Sling defense system to intercept the missiles. There are no reports of casualties or damages from this attack.
To completely annihilate Hezbollah, Israel has begun attacks from both the skies and the ground. Artillery shells are being fired. This time, the primary target is Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah. The fear of Israel is so overwhelming in his mind that he is on the run. Many Hezbollah commanders are being eliminated. Only two prominent names remain among the living commanders besides him. Israel is now searching for these three commanders, bringing the battle to its final phase.
