Hamas has shown a positive attitude towards Trump's Gaza Peace Plan, agreeing to accept most major conditions. The Palestinian militia organization announced on Friday its willingness to release all Israeli captives (whether living or dead) under the peace plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump, marking a significant step towards ending the conflict in Gaza.

In a statement, Hamas expressed its readiness to engage in immediate dialogue through intermediaries for detailed discussions on this matter (Trump's Gaza Plan). Should this move materialize, it would be a landmark achievement in the months of efforts to ensure the return of hostages abducted during the attack on Israel in October 2023. Hamas also reiterated its preparedness to hand over Gaza's administration to an 'independent technical experts’ Palestinian organization.

Hamas Thanks Donald Trump

It should be noted that Hamas was managing Gaza's administration until now. The group publicly thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for his role in efforts to end the Gaza conflict, also expressing gratitude to Arab, Islamic, and international partners. Previously, President Donald Trump had given an ultimatum to Hamas to reach a peace agreement with Israel by 6 PM on Sunday, warning of repercussions in Gaza otherwise.

Trump had stated that Hamas is being given a final opportunity to accept our Gaza Plan, release Israeli captives, and cease hostilities. Failure to agree could have severe consequences, he warned, adding that peace would inevitably be established in Gaza. U.S. President Donald Trump worked persistently for two years to bring both Israel and Hamas to agree on a peace settlement to end the Gaza conflict.

What's in Trump’s 20-Point Gaza Plan?

To this end, a 20-point proposal has been drafted, not only calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities but also presenting a solution for governance in Gaza. The White House described Trump's Gaza Plan as a roadmap to end conflict and shape future governance of the area. According to Trump’s Gaza Peace Plan, within 72 hours of the peace agreement between Hamas and Israel, Hamas must release all Israeli captives, whether alive or dead, in exchange for Israel releasing hundreds of Palestinian detainees.

Hamas Will No Longer Control Gaza

Under this plan, Hamas' control over Gaza will end and an independent government will manage the administration under international supervision. Immediately after Hamas concurs with this peace plan, aid will be sent to Gaza. Trump warned that if Hamas rejects the Gaza Plan, Israel will receive full American support to complete its mission of eradicating it altogether. Hamas' agreement to Trump's Gaza Plan will serve as a pivotal step towards peace in the Middle East.
