In the late hours of night in Fatehpur, a bus filled with joyous wedding guests met an unfortunate end. This catastrophic event led to the tragic loss of three lives, among them a woman, leaving 10 others severely injured. The injured were rushed to the district hospital's trauma center where doctors, observing the critical condition of three, recommended transferring them to Kanpur for advanced care.
Reports indicate this sorrowful incident unfolded in the Kalyanpur Police Station area on National Highway-2, along the Mundera-Prayagraj route. The bus, destined for Noida with its wedding party onboard, collided with a trailer parked along the highway. The crash was devastating enough to instantly claim three lives while injuring scores of others.
As per available information, the bus set off at around 1 AM from Prayagraj, heading towards Noida for a matrimonial ceremony. Unfortunately, near the SSG College within the Kalyanpur jurisdiction, it fell victim to an accident by crashing into a stationary trailer truck on the highway.
The impact was so horrific that the bus's front was utterly mangled. Upon hearing the crash, local inhabitants rushed to the scene and alerted the authorities. Police promptly arrived and immediately directed the injured to the nearest hospital. Tragically, a woman succumbed on-site, while two others passed away during treatment.
Other injured individuals, numbering up to 10, were admitted to the district hospital's trauma center. Doctors, noting the precarious state of three individuals, ordered immediate transfer to Kanpur. Those who lost their lives in this accident include 40-year-old Saroj Singh, wife of Rameshwar, five-year-old Aditya alias Kittu, and 12-year-old Kumkum, daughter of Amod.
