National Conference patron and former Chief Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah has once again raised serious questions against the central government and Jammu and Kashmir administration regarding the Pahalgam terror attack. He asked how the four terrorists reached Pahalgam and are still at large despite the presence of drones, CCTV cameras, and heavy security forces everywhere?
Farooq Abdullah questioned that if the Home Minister claimed four days ago that terrorism in Kashmir has been completely eradicated, how did this attack occur? There is a Lieutenant Governor here; what action has been taken against him so far? The Home Minister himself visited Kashmir a few days ago and claimed the terror network was dismantled, so how did these four terrorists arrive?
Farooq expressed concern, stating, "We have the army, drones, and modern technology, yet we failed to capture them. We claim to be the world's most powerful force, but if this is the situation, it is alarming."
Earlier, Farooq Abdullah stated that everyone must unite against terrorism. He referred to those involved in the attack as enemies of humanity and said they would rot in hell. He also mentioned that the Indian government needs to rethink the Indus Water Treaty.
Notably, the Pahalgam attack occurred on April 22 in the Baisaran Valley, where tourists were horseback riding and vacationing with their families when the terrorists launched their attack. They targeted people based on religion. However, India retaliated against this attack. Consequently, missile strikes were conducted on 9 terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK, resulting in more than 100 terrorists being killed in India's counteroffensive.
