Significant developments emerged on Monday regarding the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi from Indore in Meghalaya and the disappearance of his wife, Sonam. Initially, Sonam was located at a Dhaba in Ghazipur, after which she was taken into custody for questioning. Additionally, four young men were arrested.

As the case unraveled, it unfolded that Sonam was romantically involved with one of the young men, leading her to deceitfully bring her husband to Meghalaya under the pretense of a honeymoon and subsequently orchestrating his murder. The Meghalaya guide had earlier reported the presence of four young men accompanying Sonam and Raja. Meghalaya police have now taken Sonam into remand for further investigation.

Curiosity surged among people, questioning the identities of the men accompanying Sonam – named Raj Kushwaha, Vishal Chauhan, Akash, and Anand.

Raj Kushwah-

Originally from Uttar Pradesh, Raj settled in Indore a few years ago. Initially residing in Govind Nagar on rent, he later moved near Banganga after securing work at Sonam's father's factory. According to police sources, Raj’s mother lived with him until she returned to UP a while ago. The affair between Sonam and Raj Kushwaha hadn't reached its first anniversary yet.

Vishal Chauhan-

Vishal, a resident of Raj's neighborhood, was his close friend. He works as a Rapido bike rider and lives with his family.

Akash Rajput-

Akash, the third accused detained from Indore's outskirts, is unemployed. A resident of Raj's vicinity, he shared a good rapport with Raj Kushwaha.

Indore police sources indicate that both Vishal and Akash came from economically challenged backgrounds, which Sonam exploited, enticing them with the lure of money. Sonam promised them nearly 1 million rupees in exchange for their participation in the plot to murder Raja.

Anand-

The fourth suspect, Anand, like the others, was a hired killer.

The revelations emerging from the Raja murder case have intensified suspicions around his wife, Sonam. However, with Sonam now in Meghalaya police custody, further investigation continues into the case.
