Minister Atishi Singh from the Delhi Government may encounter escalating troubles. The Election Commission has taken cognizance of allegations of threats received over not joining the BJP and has dispatched a notice to Atishi. She must respond to this notice by Monday noon.
Prior to this, the BJP had also sent Atishi a notice questioning the veracity of offers to join the party. They demanded disclosure of who approached her, threatening legal action if the truth was not forthcoming.
Just three days ago, Atishi Singh accused of receiving an offer to join the BJP. She alleged both an offer and a threat had been made to her, claiming an imminent arrest of four 'AAP' leaders in the next two months. According to Atishi, after her arrest, Saurabh Bharadwaj will be the next, followed by Durgesh Pathak and Raghav Chadha.
'Join BJP or Face Jail Time'
At a press conference on April 2nd, Minister Atishi Singh stated, 'Through a close contact, I was approached to join the Bharatiya Janata Party. I was told to save my political career by joining BJP, or face arrest in the coming month.' She warned that in the following days, more leaders from the Aam Aadmi Party might be arrested. Atishi expressed, 'The Prime Minister and BJP have made up their minds. They want to crush the Aam Aadmi Party and its leaders.'

Atishi remarked that AAP's senior leadership is currently detained. However, after a substantial turnout at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday and the public demonstrations by AAP, BJP is likely to imprison four more prominent leaders. She emphasized that raids on her residence and those of her relatives by ED are imminent, followed by summons and arrests for all of them.
BJP Also Sends Legal Notice to Atishi
Following her press conference, on April 3rd, BJP also issued a legal notice to Atishi Singh. Delhi BJP's media department accused Atishi of maligning the party's workers' honor and demanded proof of who contacted her. They inquired whether she had been contacted via phone or in person. Clarifications were sought.
