On Tuesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath outlined his government's achievements in the Mahakumbh festival during an assembly session. He highlighted that millions attended without any incidents of eve-teasing, theft, or murder. He also shared the success story of a sailor.
In his address, CM Yogi stated, 'You call us communal; show us where. Our ideal is 'May all be prosperous, may all be free of illness,' and the Mahakumbh is its most exemplary manifestation. The festival reflected India's growth and heritage, without any discrimination on caste, region, belief, or religion.'
CM Shares Sailor's Success Story
CM Yogi shared a sailor family's success story during Kumbh in the assembly. He shared, 'I'd like to present the success of a sailor family. The family owned 130 boats and managed to save 3 billion rupees over 45 days, meaning each boat earned 2.3 million rupees in that span.' Taking a jibe at Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Yadav, CM Yogi remarked, 'Uncle wanted to attend the Mahakumbh but missed it.'
This is a Matter of Pride for Our Sanatan Dharma
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath mentioned, 'We talk about collective support and development. The 45-day event has left a distinctive impression of India's legacy and progress on the globe. This event's successful execution will echo worldwide for a long time, marking a proud moment for our Sanatan Dharma. It's not just a spiritual feat but is expected to benefit our economy by 3.5 trillion rupees.'
We Only Demanded What Was Rightfully Ours
On Sambhal, he added, 'For 56 years, the ritual of pouring holy water took place at Shiv Temple in Sambhal. There were 68 pilgrimage sites and 19 wells in Sambhal, systematically dismantled over time. We found 54 of those 68 sites, preserving our heritage. We simply attained what was ours, and we stand by that.'
660 Million Pilgrims Return Safely from Kumbh
The Chief Minister stated, 'Sages from all over the world gathered at the Mahakumbh. No incident of misconduct occurred. The festival was a trial by fire for us. There were no reports of theft, murder, or abduction. All 660 million attendees returned safely. Among them, 330 million were women, and not a single crime was reported.'
