Professor Mark Elwood, a co-author of the research and a cancer expert, commented, 'None of the studies indicated an increased risk.' The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) has classified the waves from mobile phones as 'Possibly Carcinogenic,' category 2B.
This means that while there isn't enough evidence to establish a direct link to cancer, it can't be completely ruled out either. This data stems from a 2011 investigation. Based on older data, the agency's advisory group recommended that this classification be re-examined as soon as possible.
