The political turmoil continues over Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's statement on 'power.' PM Modi has launched a sharp attack over his remarks. When SP candidate from Mainpuri, Dimple Yadav, was questioned about the issue, she deflected stating, "That's a matter between Mr. Gandhi and Mr. Prime Minister, what can I say about it?"
It is noted that Dimple Yadav has been nominated for Mainpuri by the Socialist Party for the 2024 Lok Sabha election. In connection with this, she has been actively engaging in public meetings, reaching out to voters to strengthen her position. Amidst this, the media in Mainpuri posed questions to her about Rahul Gandhi's statement on 'power' last Tuesday.

The question was about Rahul Gandhi mentioning his struggle against a 'power,' which the Prime Minister associated with women's power. He termed Rahul's statement as an insult to women's strength. Responding to this, Dimple Yadav said, "That is indeed a matter between Mr. Gandhi and Mr. Prime Minister, what should I comment on that?"
Aparna Yadav's Candidature and Dimple's Remark
On the query of Aparna Yadav contesting from Mainpuri as a BJP candidate, Dimple said that Mainpuri has been the working field of 'Netaji.' Those involved have always been dedicated to Netaji and shared an emotional bond with him. Netaji has also regarded them as family. For us, the Mainpuri residents are like family as well. We will have a good election, regardless of the challengers.
Furthermore, regarding the removal of Mainpuri's DM, SP, and other officials by the Election Commission following complaints, Dimple stated, "I believe these are complaints made by the party. The petition has been filed considering what the party deemed appropriate."
Rahul's Remarks on the 'Power' Statement
Rahul Gandhi shared a lengthy post on social media handle X (Twitter), countering PM Modi. He wrote, "The PM does not appreciate my words, he always tries to twist them because he knows I speak the truth. The power I mentioned, the one we're fighting against, has the PM as its facade."
In his tweet, Rahul further explained that it's the same power that receives India's ports and airports, while the youth is handed the 'Agniveer' gift that breaks their spirit. In service to this power, the media buries the truth day and night. This power also imposes GST on the poor of the country without controlling inflation. It auctions off the nation's wealth to bolster itself.
Rahul emphasized, "I recognize this power, and so does Narendra Modi, and it is not a religious force. It is a power of adharma, corruption, and untruth. Therefore, whenever I raise my voice against it, their machinery of lies gets disturbed, agitated."
