Delhi's Keshav Puram neighborhood was gripped by shock when a joint CBI and police squad conducted a surprise raid on a house there. Following a two-day operation, CBI unearthed a human trafficking racket, rescuing several newborn children.

The most shocking aspect was that one rescued infant was merely 36 hours old, while another was 15 days old. The local police from Keshav Puram station were present throughout the raid.

Seven Suspects Arrested

In exposing this baby-snatching gang, CBI has arrested seven individuals from Delhi-NCR. Sources reveal that two infants were rescued from a Keshav Puram residence. CBI is now investigating the background details of these children, looking into how and from where they were abducted.

Interrogation of the Accused Underway

Initial investigations point to a potential newborn trafficking case. Currently, the CBI team is interrogating the seller and a buyer involved in this operation.

Policemen have detained about seven people, including a woman. The raid spanned areas in North West Delhi and Rohini and began on Friday, lasting into Saturday. It’s reported that the gang members were stealing children from hospitals. A ward boy has also been arrested in connection with the case.

All Rescued Children Under Ten Years of Age

CBI initiated this action following intel about the child purchase operation. The children rescued are all under ten years old. In the case, 3-4 people have been arrested so far.

Children were being sold for 4 to 6 lakhs each

CBI officers have revealed that suspects used advertisements, Facebook pages, and WhatsApp groups to connect with childless couples across India who were interested in adopting. They allegedly purchased infants from real parents as well as surrogate mothers and then sold the newborns for 4 to 6 lakhs each. These suspects are also allegedly involved in creating fake adoption documents and defrauding numerous childless couples out of millions of rupees.
