Delhi University Goes Wireless:
Free Wi-Fi facilities will soon grace the entire Delhi University campus. The new girls' hostel in Mukherjee Nagar, northwest Delhi, will also boast Wi-Fi connectivity, backed by a 67.71 crore fund allocation.
Delhi University's Multi-Crore Loan:
Official announcements from DU state that Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) connectivity will be established across nearly 90 colleges, both the North and South campuses, and the Dhaka hostel premises. Last October, DU secured a loan of 938.33 crores from the Education Financing Agency for institution development, with the Wi-Fi budget included within. The Wi-Fi installation and building new facilities will cost a total of 261.33 crores.
New College at Najafgarh by Delhi University:
The Higher Education Financing Agency (HEFA), a joint venture between Canara Bank and the Ministry of Education, provides finance facilities for the construction of educational infrastructure and research facilities within India's premier institutions. In 2022, Delhi University applied for a loan from HEFA to drive development within the institution and construct the East Delhi campus in Surajmal Vihar. This loan will also open a new college in Najafgarh.
Admission Exams at DU:
Aspiring students looking to gain admission to Delhi University will need to take the CUET UG and CUET PG exams. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has already released the exam dates for CUET UG and PG 2024. The CUET PG exams are scheduled from March 11 to 18, 2024, while the CUET UG exams are set for May 2024.
