In the Sikandra area of Dausa, Rajasthan, a late-night shootout erupted between the police and cattle smugglers. During the operation, police arrested two criminals, including one minor. A truck was also confiscated during the action near Sikandra Toll Plaza.
The Sikandra police confiscated illegal alcohol from the smugglers during the takedown. Details from the Sikandra station in-charge, Manohar Lal Meena, indicate that they had received a tip-off about cattle smuggling. Following this, the Sikandra police quickly set up a blockade near the toll.

Vehicles Damaged in Smugglers’ Getaway
Spotting the truck filled with cattle, the police signalled it to stop. However, the driver attempted to speed away, ramming into two vehicles stationed at the toll, causing damage. Nevertheless, the Sikandra station cops successfully surrounded the smugglers.
Police Under Fire
Feeling cornered, the smugglers started shooting at the police, who promptly returned fire. One smuggler was injured in the crossfire and was taken to the district hospital for treatment. At the scene, two cattle smugglers were apprehended, including the underage offender.
Cattles Relocated to Shelter
Meanwhile, the cattle were rescued from the clutches of the smugglers and placed in a cow shelter. Station in-charge Manohar Lal Meena revealed that the smugglers were en route to Delhi via the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway with their illicit cargo. Their swift interception before reaching the expressway thwarted their escape plan.
