The challenges for folk singer Neha Singh Rathore have escalated with a FIR filed against her at Varanasi's Lanka police station over alleged derogatory remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This case arose from a complaint by a social organization, Hanuman Sena.
According to Sudhir Singh, president of Hanuman Sena, Neha Singh Rathore in her video reportedly referred to the Prime Minister with words like 'coward' and 'General Dyer,' claiming it went viral even to Pakistan. They have deemed this as sedition. Sudhir Singh asserts that their organization has submitted 500 complaints to various police stations in Varanasi.
Multiple FIRs Filed Against Neha Singh Rathore
However, Varanasi police deny this claim. DCP Kashi Gaurav Banswal of the Varanasi Police Commissionerate confirmed that only one complaint was received at Lanka police station leading to the FIR. Complaints were filed in Sigra, but no case was registered. DCP Varuna Zone Pramod Kumar and DCP Gomti Zone Akash Patel stated that no complaints were lodged in their stations.

Meanwhile, Neha Singh Rathore remains actively engaged on social media. She has posted several messages and released videos asserting her stance against intimidation. She writes that silencing daughters who question is wrong, and she, a disciple of Kabir, doesn't fear any Alexander the Great.
