In Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, individuals were arrested for cultivating cannabis within chili fields and guarding the crop all night. Police confiscated 4 quintals of cannabis worth approximately 1.35 million rupees. They seized 3 quintals and 91 kilograms of mature cannabis plants from 1116 specimens across three sites in the Beria and Bistan areas.
SP Dharamraj Meena reported that the Beria police conducted a night raid, discovering cannabis plants among chili crops. The illegal crops were vigilantly guarded overnight. From these areas, police seized cannabis weighing 3 quintals 91 kilograms, with a street value of 1.332 million rupees. In each case, police charged one accused under the NDPS Act and arrested them.
The SP announced a reward of 5,000 rupees for the police team in each of these cases. Anil, son of Narsing Bhilala from Piprikhedi, was found conducting clandestine cannabis farming amid chili fields. Authorities seized 105 cannabis plants weighing 61 kilograms.
In Balya village, Pathan, son of Sekadia, was caught safeguarding the crop. A raid led to the discovery of 271 kilograms of 921 green cannabis plants.
In Bistan's Awli village, Mankachand, son of Prakash Patil, had his field raided where illegal cannabis cultivation was taking place. The operation led to the seizure of 59.4 kilograms of cannabis, valued at 297,000 rupees.
