On Friday, during her address in the Delhi Assembly, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed her emotions. She accused Aam Aadmi Party of hurting her through memes created about her. The CM stated that occasional verbal slips are mocked by AAP, which then spreads these as memes on social media.
'I'm Ridiculed, It Deeply Hurts Me'
In the assembly, Rekha Gupta remarked, 'The Aam Aadmi Party can't seem to accept that a woman is the Chief Minister of Delhi.' She elaborated, 'They harbor this belief that a woman cannot run Delhi. If ever I accidentally say something wrong, they promptly make a meme out of it and mock me. It deeply hurts me.'
The CM added, 'They say the Chief Minister can’t even correctly say AQI. I mistakenly said AIQ instead of AQI, and once replaced the British with Congress. They mocked that too.' Rekha Gupta retaliated strongly on this issue, targeting Aam Aadmi Party.
CM Targets AAP
She asserted, 'Even if I made a mistake, Aam Aadmi Party deliberately did these things.' Rekha Gupta mentioned that the Aam Aadmi Party promised not to take official cars, houses, or facilities but embraced them after gaining power. The Chief Minister stated the party, which rose to power on an anti-corruption movement, intentionally built a 'glass palace' of corruption.
The Aam Aadmi Party shared a video of CM Rekha Gupta on Thursday on social media platform X. In it, she's seen saying, 'Modi Ji has given us everything... now the bullet train is reaching Delhi...'
