Bijnor: Film Actor Mustaq Khan Kidnapped and Extorted ₹2 Lakhs

In Bijnor, film actor Mustaq Khan was lured for an event and kidnapped. It is reported that the kidnappers extorted ₹2 lakhs from him. He managed to escape somehow. Police have registered a case and started an investigation.

Film actor Mustaq Khan was invited to an event in Bijnor, only to be kidnapped. The abductors extorted ₹2 lakhs from him, holding him captive and subjecting him to distress. Fortunately, the following morning, Mustaq Khan seized an opportunity to flee. Police have begun probing the incident.

According to Mustaq Khan's event manager, Shivam Yadav, on October 15, a person from Meerut named Rahul Saini proposed that Mustaq attend an event. On November 20, Mustaq Khan arrived in Delhi from Mumbai, where a cab sent by Rahul was waiting to receive him.

Actor Mustaq Khan's Abduction

Upon departing from Delhi Airport, the cab stopped at a roadside refreshment stand before transferring him into another vehicle. Shortly after, two more individuals joined the car. The kidnappers then attacked Mustaq, taking him under their control and transporting him to a secret location.

It is reported that Mustaq Khan was demanded for money, but since he didn't have an ATM card, the kidnappers transferred ₹2 lakhs from his son's bank account using his mobile phone. During this time, the kidnappers were indulging in a drinking party. Seizing the chance when they were intoxicated, Mustaq somehow escaped and sought refuge in a mosque, informing the cleric of his ordeal.

Police Register Case and Begin Investigation

From there, he contacted his acquaintances, and the locals around the mosque helped him reach Mumbai. Upon reaching Mumbai, he informed his event manager and family of the entire incident.

The police, acting on the report by event manager Shivam Yadav, have filed a case at the city police station under section 140 (2) of the BNS act, which pertains to kidnapping, hostage-taking, and extortion. SP Abhishek Jha stated that the police are working to identify the gang responsible. The case is expected to be resolved soon.
